What is user experience research ?

Thinking about consumers is one of the first stages in building a new product or enhancing the user experience of an existing one. Try to ask questions like: “What are they looking for?” What do they want? Why do they want it? How can your product assist them in achieving their goals?
User experience research is an important aspect of the human-centered design process for developing solutions that fulfill user expectations and provide value to consumers.
User experience (UX) research is the process of employing various observation methods and feedback procedures to gather important insights and knowledge of users’ behaviors, desires, and pain spots.

Types of research
Quantitative and qualitative research techniques are two kinds of research methodologies that are often employed individually, but are most effective when used together. Quantitative research is based on data and statistics and produces numerical findings. Its purpose is to detect patterns, forecast outcomes, and generalize results about a certain audience or issue. Qualitative research is based on comments, views, and observations, and it is used to get a better understanding of target users’ motives, beliefs, and attitudes.
